About

Haripriya

Engineer · Writer · Creator

Hi. I’m a software engineer, writer, maker, and perpetual collector of things that make me curious.

I spend my days somewhere between code and people, systems and stories, logic and whatever interesting thought happens to wander in. I like building things, learning how things work, making things look good, and occasionally making something completely unnecessary simply because I wanted to see if I could.

I’m also very easily distracted by questions.

Why is “abbreviated” such a long word? Why is “queue” four silent letters waiting their turn? Why can I remember a song from twenty years ago but forget why I walked into a room? Why did humans spend centuries inventing increasingly elaborate ways to say “I am important” through clothing?

And then there are the really important ones: why are so many ancient statues missing their noses? When did a floppy disk become the universal symbol for “save”? Why does turning something off and on again work often enough to have become legitimate engineering advice?

I like questions that make ordinary things feel a little strange.

Some of them become things I build. Some become things I write. Some lead me into books, art, history, technology, games, or wonderfully unnecessary rabbit holes. Most don't have anywhere particular to go.

I don't think they need to.

LilyFlake is a place for those things.

Part workshop, part notebook, part cabinet of curiosities — a home for projects, experiments, writing, games, observations, and ideas that don't particularly care about fitting into one category.

It is where I put the things I make because I want to make them, the things I notice because I can't help noticing them, and the questions that refuse to leave me alone.

There is no grand theme tying everything together.

At least, not yet.

For now, LilyFlake is simply a little record of what happens when curiosity is given somewhere to go.

And if you wander around long enough, you might find a few things worth wondering about yourself.
